Back Then
Tau nggak sih?
Abad ke-18, Perancis memiliki the first Minister for Fashion bernama Rose Bertin. Tahun 1804, Bang Napoleon juga mengangkat seorang bernama Leroy untuk jadi Mentri Busana. Konon, his wife, Tante Josephine memang fashionista sejati. Ck ck ck... nggak heran!Bisa saingan sama Ibu-ibu BAZAAR ya? And do you know? At early 19th century, justru seorang pria berdarah Inggris bernama Charles Worth, yang dinobatkan sebagai 'Father of Modern Haute Couture' He is the first who had his clothes labeled with his name and held the first fashion show EVER for his famous clients di Paris. Today! Spencer Jacket is BACK! But do you know the story behind it? Ternyata, jaket ngatung nan nanggung yang sekarang lagi trend merupakan peninggalan seseorang bernama Earl Spencer. Ceritanya, di tahun 1790, si Spencer had problem dengan buntut jaket yang terbakar. So, instead, he had it chopped and later menjadi trend fashion di jamannya. ![]() Nah, perempuan jaman dulu juga nggak mau kalah. Jacket Bang Spencer mereka kenakan sebagai cardigan. It was a short form of jacket to just above waist level. (just like what's in today)Pada saat itu, baju perempuan tipis-tipis banget. And they call it Muslin. Saking tipisnya mereka takut masup angin. Dan kayaknya kerokan belum nge-trend. So this type of cardigan surely kept them warm. Just a thought, kayaknya perlu juga tuh ada Mentri Busana. Buat dandanin para wakil rakyat. Biar genah. Nggak perlu pake dasi HUGO atau Versace warna yellow trus jas nya bermotif pula... Wooo wooo maaann... Pling Dos! (red: Please Dong) After all, fashion is not about WHAT to wear. It is more about HOW to wear... *left: ancient lady, right: by MANGO* ![]() |
